Everyone was friendly. The place is warm and cosy. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was excellent. We specifically asked for a room with a balcony and that is what we got.

Casa das Muralhas có hồ bơi ngoài trời theo mùa, khu vườn, phòng chờ chung và sân hiên ở Covilhã. location is good though a little at the outskirts of town. for us it was perfect and planned in advance for hiking at the area. we were upgraded which was nice. the building is rebuilt over the ruins of a conservation house. staff was extremely helpful and provided advise and trails for hikes . dinner at the hotel is great and breakfast too.

Just a 5-minute drive away from the city of Gouveia, in the slopes of Serra da Estrela Mountain, Madre De Água Hotel Rural de Charme is located in a producing wine, cheese and olive oil farm. This is small family hotel with great pool and very good vine and food. If you need anything more for breakfast, they serve you. Staff is also great. On our trip over Portugal we have stayed in five 4 star hotels (mostly small like this) and this was the best.

Casas da Lapa is a modern hotel ideally situated on a hill top, inside the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela. It is located within a typical mountain village, Lapa dos Dinheiros. The location had beautiful views. The staff were so friendly and very accommodating and the food was amazing. The room and facilities were great and very clean.

A magical place with the family history that is around on the walls through pictures and family tools. The house housed a museum containing antique items that have been useful for the past 200 years. The hospitality was warm and generous and the generous breakfast with the beautiful dishes was a celebration.
