We received a very warm and friendly welcome on arrival and were blown away if the view , first from the front door and then from our room , no 1. Well worth staying in !
Exceptional outlook over the bay and a different experience on opening the curtains in the morning.
The hosts are great and operate the hotel superbly well.
Breakfast is exceptional and nothing is too much from the hotel, delicious and plentiful. Pancakes and blueberries tasty and the little overnight oats are great .
Great for getting around and quite central for the lower end of Cornwall.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Trelissick, Charlestown, Porthcurno (a must for it's exceptional coves, breathtaking), Lizard point and Godrevy some of the great places to visit.
Eating out is also great, not one bad meal, staff in all eateries were warm, friendly and accommodating and we didn't book at one place but got lucky with them all.

Mevagissey is great but the accommodation was poor, bedding was stained and dirty and the owners are refusing to acknowledge it . This cottage owners are not good hosts . The bedding was filthy, the mattresses are so old and need to change

The town was quaint and full of history and character, very narrow streets not good for driving. The Pubs (Ship Inn) was excellent including the food if a bit pricey. The restaurants were excellent (Salamander and Polkirk One )Not cheap but good value for money. Very hilly trying to get out of town centre if you're old or athsmatic.Don't book a hotel up Polkirk Hill it's very steep.

Lovely little village and well worth a visit!
Lovely little village and well worth a visit! It has several really good pubs and restaurants. We’ve only ever been in October but I’m sure it would be lovely during the summer! Driving through the village if you need to get to accommodation up the hill can sometimes be a challenge. Just take it slow and not be in a hurry!

Been there 3 times now absolutely love it , lovely people run it and lovely staff , breakfast is amazing, and when we arrived had lovely scones and cream and a cup of tea , clean rooms and some good touches, Evan a box of chocolates on the bed , it really is a lovely place to stay And a 15 min walk to shops , pubs ,

Small fishing port with hourly cruise options and fishing charters. Various gifts shops, clothes shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. Access is via narrow roads but there is a lot of parking. Restaurants are mainly mid and high end with main courses roughly £15.00 upwards. Plenty of fish and chips and burgers, sandwich and pasty shops. Plenty of great views from harbor and surrounding countryside.

The range of spaces to sit, use and enjoy were really well balanced - there were even books and games to loan. Breakfasts were superb and Caroline is a master of the hollandaise sauce!
