Very little litter on the streets, in parks or on the Metro. Cyclists are respectful and obey the rules of the road. A good choice of places to eat offering excellent food and friendly staff. It is worth visiting Paris just for the pastries! No 'cost-a-lot' type coffee chains and very few junk food shops. I shall did better research before i spend my money in this nasty hotel. Excellent, but we are elderly and found the steps in the Metro too much…..however, this made us explore the buses which use Metro tickets and ( using our laptop to look up routes ) got us around. It’s cheaper to get your Metro tickets before you get to Paris if you can ) We’d recommend Paris for all the points listed below….which is too much, so plan what you want first. The museums are very crowdeed

This was the most recent of several trips to Paris over the years. Paris is everything you want from a capital city, it offers magnificent affordable restaurants, great sightseeing, easy to use public transport and great entertainment and of course shopping. However, beware some restaurants are already 'cashing in' on the forthcoming Olympic Games pushing for large tips 20%+ whilst offering very mediocre service.

But it is really a budget option so you need to be flexible with some details. The location is really good compared with other budget options that are in the outskirts of the city, also lots of Metro stations really close by. The reception guy that we had to deal with was very nice and accommodating. The room cleaning ladies were really nice and overall the building is new so in much better shape that many other old Paris cheap hotels.

Nice breakfast, includes bacon and eggs in addition to what you’d normally expect for breakfast in France. 5 minutes walk to the left bank of the Seine, 10 minutes to Notre Dame and Isle St Louis.

He wants me to book it for next weekend. They also let him check a bag so he could pick it up on his way back out of town. They had a buffet breakfast that was convenient for him.
